Raquel is a Dominican watercolor artist and designer based in the Netherlands, creating from a lively home where routines are flexible, ideas flow fast, and spontaneous dance breaks are part of the process.
While her surroundings may be joyfully unpredictable, her art brings a sense of calm and order, full of rhythm, repetition, and richly painted patterns. Her work is rich in color, infused with vintage charm, tropical vibrancy, and a slightly folksy touch.
She creates art and surface designs for homeware, stationery, and gift items—her absolute favorite things to make. Whether it’s a pattern for a decorative piece, a postcard, or a lovingly illustrated wedding suite, Raquel’s goal is always to bring beauty and joy into everyday life.
Her collection includes art prints, greeting cards, custom stationery sets, hand-painted frames, and one-of-a-kind upcycled pieces—thrifted items she transforms into functional art.Her style is deeply inspired by nature, childhood memories, and the decorative traditions of both her Caribbean roots and her life in Europe.
